Valve Seal Puller: Half is Twice is Good

Baked on valves seals lose their grip with the help of a chip puller halved.
But before I go any further, if you’re doing a valve seal job, just buy the purpose-built plier type seal puller before you start the job. That said, I was all geared up to do this job and found the seals impossible to remove with any normal tool in the box. I tried using spare chip puller tongs from my tech tool box but they just couldn’t squeeze tight enough. I clipped the tongs in the center and traded the squeeze action for a hook. Next I locked down on that end with some pliers, and produced a very effective seal puller by alternating pulls on opposing sides of the seal to work it up the guide.
